Insurance

Not all providers at Full Life Counseling accept insurance. Benefits will need to be verified prior to initial session; it is best that you, as the consumer also contact your insurance carrier to make sure that mental health services are covered, if you have a deductible, co-pay, or co-insurance. 

Self-Pay Rates (effective August 1, 2022):

Licensed Counselors (LPCs, LACs,):

Intake & 90-minute sessions $250

60-minute Individual sessions $200

60-minute Group therapy sessions (per person) $60

90-minute Group therapy sessions (per person) $70

Special rates for service members, first responders, and their family members

Graduate-Level Interns:

Additional fees

• Late cancellations (less than 48-hour notice of cancellation or reschedule) & No-Shows:
  • Client is responsible for the cost of the scheduled session. 
  • 48-hours should be based on the scheduled start time of the service.
• What happens if your session goes over time? You will be billed for the cost of the time used based on the Clinician’s prorated hourly rate.
• Printed copies of records $1 per page. Electronic records releases are billed based upon the time required to complete the request.
• Charge backs $25 fee per instance.

Full Life Counseling has made the intentional decision not to panel with most health insurance providers. Why? 

• Billing insurance requires a diagnosis. 
• Insurance can limit your access to care.
• Insurance can determine which providers you get services from.
• Many insurance plans still do not cover evidence based services like EMDR unless you have a specific diagnosis of Acute Stress Disorder or PTSD. 
• Insurance companies require providers to accept a discounted rate of 45% – 60% (sometimes more) off of our hourly rate. 

We have partnered with Thrizer to make Out-Of-Network services more affordable and accessible. This service is optional for clients who are covered by health insurance plans that are not accepted by providers at Full Life Counseling. Even better, Thrizer is absolutely free for clients. When you sign up, Thrizer will check your health insurance information to find out if your plan allows for Out-Of-Network reimbursement. Session fees can be paid using Thrizer (except for late cancellation and no show fees). 
By paying for services using Thrizer, insurance claims are automatically submitted for you after every session. Once your deductible is met, you can expect up to 100% reimbursement for every appointment which will be deposited directly into your bank account. Thrizer will work with you directly to understand your benefits and what to expect back.
