At Full Life Counseling, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, high-quality care to those seeking support for their mental health and wellbeing. We deeply value the trust our clients place in us, and we are committed to clear and transparent communication about any changes that may affect your care.
Due to the months long struggles with Tricare billing and ongoing inconsistencies in Tricare’s coverage, Full Life Counseling has made the very difficult decision to stop accepting new Tricare referrals as of 09/2025.
While we recognize the important role Tricare plays in supporting military members, veterans, and their families, significant changes in Tricare’s administrative and billing processes as well as their marked lack of response to appeals and grievances, it has become necessary for us to adjust the way we work with this insurance provider.
What this means for you:
- Current Clients with Tricare Coverage: If you are already actively participating in therapy services with us, you will not be affected by this change. You may continue to use your Tricare benefits to receive care at Full Life Counseling.
- Returning Clients: Unfortunately, if you are a former client who wishes to return to services utilizing Tricare benefits, we will not be able to accommodate your request. Please use the Tricare Provider Directory, PsychologyToday.com or TherapyDen.com to locate a provider who is in network and accepting new clients.
- New Referrals: Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept new clients using Tricare insurance after the effective date of this change.
Our Commitment to You
We know that navigating insurance and access to care can be overwhelming. Our team is here to support you during this transition. At Full Life Counseling, we remain committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where healing is possible. We are honored to continue serving our current Tricare clients and grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you in your journey.
If you have any questions about this change, please don’t hesitate to contact your provider directly via email.
A Personal Note
I (Dana) became a therapist specifically to serve survivors of military sexual trauma (MST), current military, veterans, and spouses. I am truly honored to have been able to serve in this capacity and to hold space for those who have afforded me the privilege. I look forward to continuing to serve this community in a more sustainable way.
